NC Tobacco Control and Prevention Branch

In my social marketing course at UNC, I served as a social marketing assistant for the North Carolina Tobacco Control and Prevention Branch.  My team was tasked with creating social marketing campaigns against e-cigarettes, particularly JUUL, that would target college students.  We administered in-depth interviews with UNC juniors and seniors to gather preliminary insights and test our campaign ideas and advertisements.  For our campaign, we developed the idea of the "OutLive" app along with advertisements.  This app would in theory help individuals trying to quit vaping by offering them an anonymous support group, vaping cessation tips, a money-saved page, and modules about how to develop a successful quit plan.  We also planned to have college campus ambassadors for OutLive.
