
This past summer, I worked as a full-time marketing and merchandising intern for Food Lion at its corporate office in Salisbury, North Carolina. In the 12-week period, I learned how Food Lion operates and markets its products. I created a project entitled, Customer Pick, which is a promotional advertisement based on customer-chosen items and price points. The purpose of this project is to interact with Food Lion customers in a way that is easily accessible and engaging by making customers feel more connected to Food Lion. My project is centered on customer engagement and is intended to drive sales. I presented my project to Meg Ham, Food Lion President, and it should be implemented by 2021.

While I am unable to reveal many of the specifics of the Customer Pick Project, to the left is the process of how the project will be carried out.
